Myron James

GALLUP — Services for Myron James, 36, will be announced at a later date. James died Sept. 16, 2011, near Gallup. He was born July 4, 1975, in Denver.

A family gathering will be at 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 18, 2011, at Red Hills Mobile Park Recreation Center.

Cope Memorial is in charge of arrangements.

Tolena Jim

GALLUP — Services for Tolena Jim, 63, will be announced at a later date.

Jim died Sept. 15, 2011, in Gallup. She was born Dec. 31, 1947, in Gallup into the Meadow People Clan for the Salt People Clan.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge or arrangements.

Ober ‘John-John’ Olyn John

TWIN LAKES — Funeral services for Ober “John-John” Olyn John, 37, will be at 10 a.m., Monday, Sept. 19, 2011, at the Rollie Mortuary. Jerry Baker will officiate. Burial will be in Big Oak Family Cemetery in Twin Lakes.

He was born Sept. 20, 1973, in Camp Pendleton, Calif., into the Mexican People Clan for the Bitter Water People Clan.
John graduated from Gallup High School in 1992. He worked with Job Corps in Arkansas as a welder and firefighter. John also attended CIT for a nursing assistant. He was a certified nursing assistant and enjoyed traveling to Hawaii, Alaska, Canada and all of North America. He worked as a carpenter in various places. He enjoyed family and friends and loved his nieces and nephews and was a fan of the Washington Redskins.

Survivors include his mother Dolly Silverfox, of Lupton, Ariz.; brothers Tadd Oren John, of Phoenix; sisters Raphaelia Dee Wilson, of Gallup, and Althea Yazzie, of Twin Lakes, and grandparents Leo Carlston Sr. and Clara John. He was preceded in death by his father Ralph John; grandfather Peter John of Twin Lakes, and grandmother Lucy A. Carlston.

Pallbearers will be Sibert Leslie Jr., Marshall Carlston, Daniel Milford, Heath Aragon and Parnell Duboise.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Twin Lakes Chapter House following the services.

Josie Joseph

PHOENIX — Funeral services for Josie Silversmith Joseph will be Saturday, Sept. 17, 2011, in Winslow.

Survivors include her husband Michael Joseph; daughter Kelli Brooke Koeller; brothers David and Mark Silversmith; sisters Fannie Kinsel, Ardis Kelly, Annie Silversmith, Anita Curley, Antoinette and Rose Silversmith. She was preceded in death by her parents Joe Chee and Ida Mary Silversmith and sisters Joanne and Margie Silversmith.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Derek Morgan

CROWNPOINT — Funeral services for Derek Gene ‘Dmor’ Morgan, 22, will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 19, 2011, at the Assembly of God Gospel Lighthouse. The Rev. Carlos Baki will officiate. Burial will be in a family plot in Crownpoint.

Morgan died Sept. 14, 2011, in Albuquerque. He was born Sept. 29, 1988, in Crownpoint into the Red Running into the Water People Clan for the Salt People Clan.

Morgan attended CCS, Rehoboth Christian, Crownpoint High School, Navajo Technical College and University of New Mexico-Gallup for Automotive Technology. He worked for Checkerboard Refuse Disposal in Crownpoint. He was a basketball player for the Crownpoint Eagles. Throughout his years he was a dedicated athlete, mentor and friend to all. He was an artist, loved to play basketball, draw, and work on his 1979 Trans Am. He also enjoyed spending time with his family.

Survivors include his mother Tilda A Harrison-Woody; stepfather Collins Woody; father Eugene Morgan; brothers Calven G. Morgan, Michael R. Perry, Collison C. Woody, Camiam C. Woody, Conlee C. Woody, Dexter Morgan, and Colin X. Whitehorse; sisters Tasha E. Damon, Kimberly L. Morgan, Marissa E. Morgan and grandparents Gail D. Willetto, Phil Harrison Jr., Tom C. Morgan Sr. Cecil M. and Bernice Henio.

He was preceded in death by his brother Casey C. Woody, grandmother Eleanore B. Willetto, Francena Sandoval, Dennis R. Willetto and grandparents Grant and Mary Morgan.

The family will receive relatives and friends at St. Paul’s reception hall in Crownpoint.
